Pistol Triggers

A pistol trigger has to break clean and reset fast, shot after shot, without pulling the sights off target. The right upgrade cuts creep and overtravel, lightens the pull and gives you a reset you can feel. As an authorized dealer for Volquartsen, TandemKross, Apex Tactical, Timney and ZEV, we carry pistol triggers and trigger kits for the Ruger Mark IV, 22/45, Buck Mark, SW22, Glock and more.

Rimfire Competition

Built for Steel

Steel Challenge and rimfire competition reward a trigger that breaks the same way every time and resets fast for the next plate. Start with an accurizing kit, add a dot, and your Mark IV is most of the way to a race gun.

Choosing a Pistol Trigger

Complete kit or single part

A complete kit, like a Mark IV accurizing kit or a drop-in Glock trigger kit, replaces several fire control parts that are designed to work together. A trigger shoe or spring swap is a smaller, simpler upgrade.

Flat or curved

Flat-faced triggers give a consistent finger placement and often feel lighter. Curved triggers feel familiar and natural to many shooters. Both can deliver a clean break.

Pull weight and reliability

Choose a pull weight you can control under speed, stay within the manufacturer's specified range, and always function check the pistol after installation. Carry and duty pistols deserve extra care with lighter setups.

Finish the build

A crisp trigger pairs with a red dot, a precise bolt and a pistol barrel for a faster, more accurate gun.

Pistol Trigger FAQ

Accurizing kit or just a trigger?

On a Ruger Mark IV or 22/45, an accurizing kit gives the biggest improvement because it replaces the parts that control the break, not just the blade. A trigger alone mainly changes feel and finger placement.

Can I install a pistol trigger myself?

Many drop-in kits install with basic tools and the manufacturer's instructions. If you are not comfortable working on fire control parts, have a qualified gunsmith do it, and always function check the pistol afterward.

Flat or curved trigger?

It comes down to feel. Flat triggers give more consistent finger placement, while curved triggers feel more traditional. Try both if you can.

Is a lighter trigger always better?

No. A lighter pull helps in competition, but control and reliability matter more. Stay within the manufacturer's recommended range, especially on carry and duty pistols.
