MDT XRS Chassis Traditional Feel. Chassis Performance.
The MDT XRS is the crossover chassis that gets overlooked. It keeps the comfortable profile of a traditional rifle stock and puts a full-length aluminum chassis system underneath. That makes it a serious foundation for range rifles, hunting setups, NRL22 and precision builds.
With a V-block bedding core, interchangeable grips, an adjustable cheekpiece, M-LOK forend and AICS magazine support on compatible centerfire models, the XRS brings together the features shooters actually use.
Feels Like a Stock. Performs Like a Chassis.
For shooters who never warmed up to exposed-aluminum competition chassis, the XRS offers a more traditional shape with the adjustability and accessory support of a precision platform.
Aluminum V-Block Core
A rigid, full-length 6061 aluminum chassis and action-specific bedding surface form the foundation. Polymer panels give it the familiar look and feel of a traditional stock.
Fits the Shooter
Quick-adjust cheek riser, spacer-adjustable length of pull and two included grip profiles make it easier to fit the rifle to the shooter and optic.
Ready for More
M-LOK mounting and XRS-specific forend options let you move from a simple range rifle to ARCA-supported positional shooting without replacing the chassis.
The Upgrades That Change the Rifle.
The best reason to start with an XRS is that you can keep refining it. These are model-specific upgrades rather than generic accessories, and they make a real difference in balance and mounting options.
Enclosed Full-ARCA Forend
Replace the standard forend with a full-length ARCA interface, extra M-LOK mounting positions and a more enclosed profile.
Shop XRS Enclosed Forend →XRS Internal Forend Weight
Add approximately one pound inside compatible XRS forends to shift the balance forward for supported or positional shooting.
Shop XRS Forend Weight →MDT GRND-POD M-LOK
Carbon-fiber legs, practical height adjustment and direct mounting to compatible M-LOK slots. A natural XRS bipod upgrade.
Shop GRND-POD →The XRS Enclosed Forend is designed for the XRS system. The internal forend weight may require a retrofit for some pre-2021 XRS chassis. Confirm the version and installation requirements before ordering.
Set It Up Your Way.
Every XRS includes a vertical grip and an angled grip. Choose your preferred hand position without buying a separate grip on day one. From there, the rest of the build is yours: ARCA forends, weights, bipods and QD sling hardware for compatible mounting points.

The XRS occupies a useful middle ground: more substantial and configurable than an entry-level stock, less specialized than an all-out competition chassis. If you're considering a different direction, these are the natural comparisons.

How is the XRS different from the MDT Field Stock?
Both keep a familiar stock shape. The XRS adds a full-length aluminum chassis core, two included interchangeable grips and an expanded range of model-specific forend and weight accessories. It is a compelling step up for shooters building toward more demanding supported shooting.
Does the XRS include both grips?
Yes. MDT includes an angled and a vertical overmolded grip with the XRS chassis. Use the grip that best fits your hand position; the XRS uses its own grip system rather than a universal AR-pattern grip.
Can I add a full-length ARCA rail?
Yes. The MDT XRS Enclosed Forend replaces the factory forend and includes a full-length ARCA interface and additional M-LOK mounting points. It is sold separately.
Can I add weight for positional shooting?
Yes. The model-specific internal XRS forend weight adds approximately one pound. Some early XRS forends require a retrofit to install it.
What magazines does the XRS accept?
Compatible centerfire versions typically use AICS-pattern detachable magazines. Rimfire inlets such as the CZ 457 use the rifle's own magazine pattern. Select magazines for the exact action and cartridge.
Will a heavy barrel fit?
The published maximum on applicable Remington 700 inlets is approximately 1.25 inches. Rimfire models and older chassis revisions can have different clearance; confirm with MDT for oversized barrel contours.
