Scope Mounts & Rails

Your scope can only hold zero if the mount under it does. A solid Picatinny rail gives you a repeatable mounting surface, room to position your rings and, with a canted rail, extra elevation for longer shots. We machine our own Pete's Pillars CZ 457 rails in the USA, and as an authorized dealer for Area 419, Talley, Warne, Leupold, L3i, Position7, DIP, MDT and Midwest Industries, we carry rails, mounts and rings for CZ, Tikka, Ruger, Anschutz, Savage and more.

Mount It Once. Mount It Right.

A scope is only as repeatable as the rail under it. Our CZ 457 rails are machined to clamp the 11mm dovetail and give you a full-length Picatinny surface for ring placement, in 0, 15 and 30 MOA. Set it, torque it, and stop chasing your zero.

Choosing a Scope Rail

Dovetail to Picatinny

Many rimfire receivers have a factory dovetail, like the 11mm dovetail on the CZ 455 and 457 or a 3/8 inch dovetail on other rimfires. A dovetail to Picatinny rail clamps to that dovetail and gives you a standard Picatinny surface for any ring.

Flat or canted (MOA)

A canted rail builds in elevation so your scope can reach farther before running out of adjustment. A flat 0 MOA rail suits close and mid range rimfire. For extended range, a 15 to 30 MOA rail is a common choice. Check your scope's total elevation travel before you pick.

ARCA and M-LOK

ARCA rails let you clamp the rifle to a tripod or ARCA bipod for positional shooting. M-LOK rail sections add mounting points to a chassis or stock forend.

Finish the setup

Pair your rail with quality scope rings like Warne Maxima or Leupold Rifleman, or skip separate rings with a Warne one-piece MSR mount. Top it with a rifle scope and torque everything to the manufacturer's spec. Building out a CZ 457? Look at the Position7 CZ 457 Pro Scope Base, a 30 MOA clamp-on base with a built-in bubble level and brass deflector, or the L3i CZ 457 10 MRAD base. Both brands also make billet magazines for the 457.

Scope Rail FAQ

Do I need a canted rail for rimfire?

Not for most close and mid range shooting. A canted rail helps when you shoot rimfire at extended distances and need more elevation than your scope has on its own.

Will a CZ 455 rail fit my CZ 457?

Not always. Both use an 11mm dovetail, but receiver shapes differ between models. Choose a rail listed for your exact rifle, and check the fitment notes before ordering.

Can I use my existing scope rings?

A Picatinny rail needs Picatinny rings. If your current rings clamp directly to a dovetail, you will need Picatinny rings to use them on a rail.

How do I install a scope rail?

Clean the receiver and screws, follow the manufacturer's torque spec and thread locker guidance, and check that the rail is fully seated before mounting your rings.
