Rifle Barrels

The barrel is the heart of a rifle's accuracy. A match-grade barrel brings a precise chamber, a consistent bore and a clean crown, and the right contour sets how the rifle balances and how it handles heat. As an authorized dealer for Lilja, Green Mountain, Volquartsen, Kidd and Tactical Solutions, we carry barrels for the CZ 455 and 457, Ruger 10/22 and more, alongside our own USA-made Pete's Pillars match barrels.

Our Own CZ Match Barrels

Pete's Pillars match barrels are made for the CZ 455 and 457 interchangeable barrel system, in blued and stainless sporter, .860 and .960 contours. Pair one with our bedding pillars and you have tightened up the two things that matter most: the barrel and the action-to-stock interface.

Choosing a Rifle Barrel

Fitment comes first

Barrels are platform-specific. A CZ 455 or 457 barrel uses CZ's interchangeable barrel system, while 10/22 barrels fit the Ruger V-block receiver. Confirm your rifle model, caliber and receiver before you order.

Contour and weight

Heavier bull contours like .920 and .960 resist heat and stay steady on a bag, which suits bench and positional shooting. Sporter tapers, carbon fiber and aluminum-sleeved barrels cut weight for field and hunting rifles. A bull barrel needs a stock or chassis with a matching barrel channel.

Length, twist and threads

Most 22LR match barrels use a 1:16 twist. Shorter barrels handle faster, while longer barrels add sight radius and a little velocity. Threaded 1/2-28 barrels accept muzzle brakes, compensators and thread protectors.

Finish the build

A new barrel is the right time to add a quality rifle scope, scope rings and a crisper trigger.

Rifle Barrel FAQ

Will a bull barrel fit my factory stock?

Usually not without changes. Factory stocks are generally cut for the factory sporter barrel. A .920 or heavier bull barrel needs a stock or chassis with a matching barrel channel. Check the barrel channel spec for your stock before ordering.

Can I swap a CZ 455 or 457 barrel myself?

CZ designed the 455 and 457 around an interchangeable barrel system, and many shooters swap barrels at home with basic tools. Follow the manufacturer's instructions, and have a gunsmith check headspace if you are unsure.

What twist rate should I choose for 22LR?

A 1:16 twist is the standard for 22LR and stabilizes common match and standard velocity loads. Every barrel listing notes its twist rate.

Do I need a threaded barrel?

Only if you plan to run a muzzle brake, compensator or suppressor. Most threaded rimfire barrels use 1/2-28 threads and ship with a thread protector or accept one.
