KRG TUB-R7S | REMINGTON 700 SHORT ACTION • CZ 457 BRAVO

The Remington 700 SA Enclosed Forend. Also Fits CZ 457 Bravo.

The KRG TUB-R7S is the Remington 700 Short Action inlet of KRG's Enclosed Forend—not a universal fit for every action. It replaces the original front section on supported Remington 700 SA KRG Bravo, X-Ray and Whiskey-3 chassis, and KRG specifically identifies this same Remington 700 SA version for the CZ 457 Bravo. The 6061 aluminum and polymer enclosure adds practical M-LOK and KRG-pattern mounting space with a sculpted opening above the barrel for natural optic clearance.

This is the version for a Remington 700 SA chassis inlet and the CZ 457 Bravo. It is well suited to a precision centerfire Remington 700 short-action build or a CZ 457 rimfire build where additional forward mounting space matters. It has M-LOK slots and KRG-pattern mounting locations, plus clearance for suitable optic and night-vision mounting solutions. It is not compatible with a separate KRG Spigot Mount. Use it for: Remington 700 short-action Bravo, X-Ray and Whiskey-3 setups, and CZ 457 Bravo rimfire builds, subject to KRG's current generation-specific fitment guidance.

Comfort and Clearance, Without the Excess.

The upper opening over the barrel is intentional. There's little value in a rail that cannot be used beneath the scope objective; leaving that space open makes the forend more comfortable and allows for a lower, more natural optic position. The enclosed geometry also makes it easy to place M-LOK accessories and KRG-specific mounts along the side and lower surfaces. A 1.250″ straight barrel is a tight fit. KRG generally recommends a contour no larger than Remington Varmint for clearance, balance and everyday usability.

ARCA explained: This listing is for the standard KRG Enclosed Forend, TUB-R7S. It does not imply an integral ARCA dovetail. If you want to mount an ARCA-clamp bipod or another ARCA accessory, plan for an appropriate separately purchased, KRG-compatible ARCA rail, or consider KRG's separately offered integrated-ARCA Enclosed Forend. Exactly Which Rifles Does TUB-R7S Fit?

This listing: TUB-R7S = Remington 700 Short Action inlet. It is the correct Enclosed Forend configuration for supported Remington 700 SA KRG Bravo, X-Ray and Whiskey-3 chassis. For a CZ 457 in a KRG Bravo, KRG specifically says to select this same Remington 700 SA version. Those are the two action families relevant to the product on this page. Chassis generation and mounting details still matter; verify current fitment with KRG before ordering.

Different rifle inlet? You need a different Enclosed Forend version. Tikka T3/T3x/CTR and Tikka T1x Bravo require the Tikka T3 inlet, not TUB-R7S. Remington 700 long actions require the separately configured 3.715″ AICS or 3.850″ CIP version, as applicable. Ruger American, Howa 1500 SA and SOTIC also require their respective inlet-specific versions. Do not order this Remington 700 SA SKU for those rifles simply because KRG offers the same Enclosed Forend design for them.

Pair It With: Fine-Tune the Balance.

Already adding useful mounting space? Weight placement is another way to dial in how your rifle handles. Our Pete's Pillars exterior M-LOK weights are made for select MDT chassis, so confirm slot spacing, screw length and clearance before attempting use with this KRG forend.

For other balancing options, see our M-LOK exterior weights and chassis accessories. Fitment with KRG hardware is not guaranteed.

Build It Out: Chassis for This Remington 700 SA Forend.

These are relevant matches for the TUB-R7S Remington 700 SA inlet: CZ 457 Bravo and Remington 700 short-action Bravo chassis. Other rifle families may use KRG Enclosed Forends, but their different inlet versions are not this SKU.

A Premium Bipod to Match Your Setup.

The MDT Ckye-Pod Gen 3 Compact brings serious positional support to a precision rifle. Select the mounting configuration that suits your rifle; an ARCA-clamp setup requires a compatible ARCA rail, sold separately from this standard enclosed forend. For a KRG build, confirm the rail, clamp and fore-end configuration together before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions

TUB-R7S Remington 700 SA / CZ 457 Bravo fitment, other inlet versions, clearance and ARCA mounting.

Which chassis does this exact TUB-R7S SKU fit?

TUB-R7S is the Remington 700 Short Action inlet. It is intended for compatible KRG Bravo, X-Ray and Whiskey-3 Remington 700 SA chassis. KRG specifically instructs CZ 457 Bravo owners to select the Remington 700 SA version, making this the relevant SKU for that chassis as well. Other action inlets require different models. Fitment, generation and availability are subject to change; buyer must verify the current guidance directly with KRG before purchasing.

Does this TUB-R7S work on CZ 457, Tikka T1x or other actions?

CZ 457 Bravo: yes, KRG specifies the Remington 700 SA version, TUB-R7S. Tikka T1x Bravo: no, use the separate Tikka T3 inlet version. Tikka T3/T3x/CTR, Remington 700 LA, Ruger American, Howa 1500 SA and SOTIC likewise require the appropriate different inlet version. For Remington 700 LA, select the correct 3.715″ AICS or 3.850″ CIP configuration. All guidance is subject to change; verify exact fitment directly with KRG.

Does this enclosed forend have an integrated ARCA dovetail?

No integrated ARCA rail is confirmed for this standard TUB-R7S configuration. KRG also offers distinct integrated-ARCA Enclosed Forend products. If you want ARCA-compatible bipod mounting, verify your specific rail and forend combination with KRG before purchasing.

Can I use a separate KRG Spigot Mount with it?

No. KRG explicitly states the Enclosed Forend is not compatible with a separate Spigot Mount. Its enclosed design is intended to provide useful forward mounting positions without that separate piece.

Will it clear my heavy barrel and allow lower scope rings?

The upper cutout provides room around the scope objective, helping avoid excessively high rings. KRG says a 1.250″ straight barrel barely fits and generally recommends no larger than Remington Varmint contour. Actual optic, barrel, rail and chassis clearance depends on the build; verify your measurements with KRG.

Can I add Pete’s Pillars weights or an ARCA bipod?

You can explore our M-LOK exterior weights and ARCA/Picatinny bipods, but our weights are designed for select MDT chassis, so do not assume they will mount to KRG. Check mounting-hole spacing, hardware clearance and ARCA rail compatibility with the manufacturers before ordering.

Are mounting hardware and export restrictions important?

KRG supplies mounting hardware appropriate to the selected forend version; review the latest manufacturer package list for your inlet before installation. KRG identifies this product as restricted from export outside the U.S. under ITAR. Installation instructions, hardware contents and fitment guidance are subject to change; buyer should verify current details directly with KRG.

Pete’s Pillars is a KRG dealer. For the most current inlet, chassis-generation and installation information, verify with KRG before purchase.
