What does nitriding do for the firing pin?
Nitriding modifies the steel surface to increase wear resistance and corrosion protection. Unlike added plating, it does not create a separate coating layer that can chip or peel. It is part of the proprietary multi-step finish used on our CZ 457 firing pins.
Will this firing pin fix light strikes or make my CZ 457 more accurate?
Not necessarily. PP457FP-T supplies a precisely manufactured replacement firing pin with a distinct tip profile, but light strikes can have several causes and an accuracy improvement is not guaranteed. If the rifle has an ignition problem, the complete bolt and ignition system should be evaluated rather than assuming one replacement part will solve it.
