Built for the Individual Rifle
The PP457ES is designed for the CZ 457, with limited testing also indicating compatibility with CZ 452, 453, and 455 actions. However, replacement extractor components are not guaranteed to drop into every rifle without fitting.
Individual actions and bolts can vary. Replacement barrels, barrel shims, bolt shims, headspace differences, and other aftermarket modifications may influence extraction, bolt operation, and final fit. Some installations may require fitting by a qualified gunsmith. A component that functions properly in one CZ 457 may require additional attention in another.

Will the PP457ES drop into every CZ 457?

We do not guarantee identical fit or function across every action and bolt combination.
Will the PP457ES work with a Lilja or other replacement barrel?
The PP457ES may be used in rifles equipped with aftermarket barrels, including Lilja and other replacement barrel systems, but proper function cannot be guaranteed without evaluating the individual rifle. Variations in barrel geometry, chamber and rim dimensions, and the relationship between the barrel and bolt can affect extraction. Professional fitting or evaluation may be necessary.
Can bolt shims or headspace adjustments affect extractor fitment?
Yes. Bolt shims, barrel shims, and other changes affecting the action, bolt, and barrel relationship can influence how the extractor engages the cartridge rim. Small dimensional differences can matter. Any rifle with a modified bolt or barrel configuration should be evaluated as a complete system rather than assuming factory replacement-part fitment.
Why might an extractor work in one CZ 457 but not another?
CZ rimfire rifles can be sensitive to tolerance differences. The combined dimensions of the receiver, bolt, extractor, barrel, and any modified components may vary from rifle to rifle. Successful fit in one action does not establish guaranteed fit in another. Some applications require fitting or professional assessment.
Does the PP457ES fit CZ 452, 453, and 455 rifles?
The PP457ES is primarily designed for the CZ 457. Limited testing indicates potential compatibility with CZ 452, CZ 453, and CZ 455 actions. Because testing across those platforms is limited, individual fitment and function must be verified.
What about other aftermarket CZ 457 components?
The CZ aftermarket includes products from manufacturers such as L3i, Position7, and DPG Gunworks, including Talon Extractors. These are separate aftermarket designs, and dimensional compatibility or interchangeability should never be assumed.
