The Grey Birch LaChassis 16 is a 6061-T6 aluminum chassis for the CZ 457 with a 16-inch M-LOK and Arca-Swiss forend, an integral recoil lug and a folding stock with adjustable length of pull and cheek height. It's built for shooters who want long-forend stability on the barricade and a compact package in the truck.
A long forend changes how a rimfire behaves in positional shooting. More rail means more room to slide a bipod or tripod clamp exactly where you need it, more surface to load against a barricade, and better balance under a longer or heavier barrel. The LaChassis 16 delivers that full-length support without giving up portability: the stock folds to the side for transport and storage, then locks back into place solidly for shooting. If you prefer, it can be locked permanently in the fixed position.
Built Around the CZ 457.
The chassis is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with an integral recoil lug for a consistent action interface. A magwell cutout speeds magazine changes, and the AR-pattern grip mount lets you run the grip you already like, with improved grip-to-trigger alignment over many factory stocks. The 16-inch forend is M-LOK and Arca-Swiss compatible, and ambidextrous QD points on the forend and stock make sling setup simple for either hand. Length of pull and cheek height both adjust to fit you.

Start with a strong foundation: the CZ 457 Varmint MTR Barreled Action pairs a 20.5-inch heavy barrel and MTR match chamber with CZ's factory trigger. The long forend also makes the LaChassis 16 a natural home for a premium match barrel like the Lilja 24-Inch 1.18 Straight Taper .22 LR Barrel or Lilja 26-Inch 1.00 Straight Taper Barrel—confirm barrel channel clearance for the contour you choose. Does the LaChassis 16 fit my CZ 457?
It is designed for the right-hand CZ 457 barreled action. With a heavy or large-contour barrel, confirm barrel channel clearance before installation.
Is a grip included?
No—we leave that choice to you. The chassis uses a standard AR-pattern grip mount, so you can run the grip that fits your hand and shooting style. We carry top names including Magpul, ERGO and MDT. Need the action too? Pair it with our CZ 457 Varmint MTR Barreled Action.
Can the folding stock be locked in place?
Yes. The stock folds for transport and storage and locks solidly for shooting. It can also be locked permanently in the fixed, non-folding position.
Should I choose the 16-inch or 10-inch forend?
Choose the 16-inch forend for more ARCA and M-LOK real estate, barricade support and balance with longer barrels. The 10-inch LaChassis is shorter and lighter for field carry.
Does the forend work with ARCA bipods and tripods?
Yes. The forend is Arca-Swiss compatible as well as M-LOK. ARCA bipods such as the MDT Ckye-Pod Gen3 Compact clamp directly to it.
Which magazines work with it?
Use magazines made for the .22 LR CZ 457, including billet options from L3i and Position7. The magwell cutout helps with faster magazine changes.
