MDT Oryx Sportsman Chassis – Remington 700 Short Action Arctic Snow
The MDT Oryx Sportsman Chassis in custom Arctic Snow Cerakote combines the proven performance of MDT's aluminum chassis platform with a distinctive winter-inspired camouflage finish.
Designed for right-handed Remington 700 Short Action rifles, the Oryx features integrated V-block bedding, a free-floating forend, adjustable buttstock, and modular M-LOK accessory mounting. It's an excellent foundation for precision shooting, long-range competition, and customized Remington 700 builds.
Custom Arctic Snow Cerakote Finish
Arctic Snow introduces a striking combination of light winter camouflage tones, contrasting against the Oryx's original black structural components and hardware.
This custom Cerakote finish is offered by Pete's Pillars and applied to the exterior panels, preserving the original MDT chassis geometry, ergonomics, and accessory compatibility.
Each camouflage application is individually finished, so minor variations in pattern placement and color may occur.
Precision Aluminum Chassis & V-Block Bedding
The Oryx features a precision-machined 6061 aluminum backbone with integrated V-block bedding, providing a rigid foundation for the rifle action without requiring traditional glass bedding.
The free-floating forend helps minimize unwanted barrel contact, while the solid aluminum structure reduces the flex associated with many conventional factory stocks.
With a maximum barrel diameter clearance of 1.25 inches, the chassis accommodates a wide selection of factory and aftermarket barrel profiles.
Adjustable Ergonomics & Modular Design
The integrated buttstock features an adjustable cheek riser and length-of-pull system, allowing shooters to establish a comfortable, repeatable position behind their optic.
Compatibility with standard AR-15-style pistol grips provides additional ergonomic flexibility, while the underside M-LOK interface supports compatible bipods, rails, and other accessories.
The Oryx can also accept optional full-length ARCA rails, additional M-LOK side panels, chassis weights, and sling mounting accessories.
Remington 700 Short Action Compatibility
This configuration is designed for right-handed Remington 700 Short Action rifles and compatible actions using the appropriate Remington 700 SA inlet.
The chassis uses compatible AICS-pattern short-action detachable magazines, offering magazine options for popular chamberings such as .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor, as well as other appropriately configured short-action cartridges.
Magazine compatibility depends on the rifle's chambering and cartridge dimensions. Magazines are sold separately.
