PETE'S PILLARS | PRECISION CZ RIMFIRE COMPONENTS
Built on over six years of CZ rimfire experience, our USA-made PP45715 gives your CZ 457 a 15 MOA Picatinny mounting platform: more elevation to work with than a flat rail, without jumping straight to a 30 MOA setup.
The Pete's Pillars PP45715 15 MOA scope rail converts the factory CZ 457 11mm receiver dovetail to a Picatinny mounting surface for compatible optic rings. Its moderate forward cant is a useful choice for shooters who spend time at the bench, shoot NRL22 or PRS Rimfire, or simply want room to dial farther without committing to the steepest rail in our lineup.
Machined in the USA from aluminum and finished in black hardcoat anodizing, the rail keeps a low profile on the right-hand CZ 457 receiver. Four supplied set screws hold the rail at the dovetail. No drilling or tapping is required. The mounting surface accepts compatible Picatinny rings and many Weaver-style rings; confirm the ring maker's interface requirements.
With a canted scope base, you're changing the angle of the optic relative to the bore to leave more of its internal upward adjustment available for longer-distance shots. 15 MOA is the balanced option: helpful for shooting beyond a conventional short-range zero, while typically demanding less downward scope adjustment at close range than a 30 MOA rail.
Every scope has a different total elevation range and zero position, so the rail alone cannot guarantee a particular distance or zero. Choosing the right cant is about your optic, the distances you actually shoot, and how much elevation you need to dial.
Prefer a neutral base for hunting and general range use? Choose our PP457-0 0 MOA rail. Building around longer-range dialing and a scope with sufficient adjustment? Take a look at the PP45730 30 MOA rail. The 15 MOA PP45715 sits between them.
The PP45715 is designed for right-hand CZ 457 receivers with the factory 11mm dovetail, across compatible CZ 457 calibers. Its four set screws are supplied with the rail. Installation uses a 5/64-inch Allen wrench; the current product guidance recommends approximately 8 in-lb of screw torque and avoiding overtightening. A small amount of purple threadlocker is optional.
Running a heavy barrel and need extra clearance? Check out our separate extra-clearance clamp-on scope rail, intended for larger barrel profiles. That's a different rail from this low-profile PP45715; we're not linking it until its own product listing is available.
Shooters looking at other optic-mount options may recognize names such as Area 419 or DIP. Mount geometry and available cant differ from brand to brand. For a Pete's Pillars-made solution, the PP45715 offers our own 15 MOA configuration for the factory CZ 457 dovetail.
Once the optic is sorted, there are other worthwhile details to refine. Our PP457FP OEM-Style Firing Pin is a USA-made replacement for the factory-style ignition component, while the PP457LCI Extended Stainless Steel Cocking Indicator makes cocking status easier to identify by sight or touch.
Thinking beyond individual parts? For familiar stock ergonomics, explore the MDT Field Stock or KRG Bravo. For a dedicated competition-oriented build, step into the MDT LSS Gen3 Competitor, MDT ACC Premier Gen2, or flagship MDT ACC Elite. Picking the right cant, receiver protection, installation, and barrel clearance.
For a general-purpose rifle or mostly shorter-range shooting, 0 MOA is a sensible starting point. The 15 MOA rail gives you some additional dialing room without as much cant as a 30 MOA base. Go to 30 MOA when you expect to shoot farther and your optic has enough adjustment to still zero at your usual distance. It's really about the scope you have and where you shoot.
Often, yes. A 15 MOA base is a practical middle ground, but not every scope has the same downward adjustment available. Check the optic's elevation range if a close-distance zero is important to you; the rail doesn't guarantee it with every scope and ring combination.
No drilling or tapping is needed, and a correctly installed rail doesn't call for permanent receiver modification. That said, set screws can sometimes leave small cosmetic contact marks, especially if overtightened. If you're particular about the finish, a tiny piece of soft copper wire cut to fit or a properly sized punched brass shim at the contact point can add a little protection. It's optional, not something you have to buy to use the rail.
The PP45715 is a low-profile mount for the receiver's factory dovetail, and barrel profiles can vary. If you've got a particularly large barrel and clearance is tight, we also have a separate extra-clearance clamp-on rail designed for that situation. That's a different product, not a feature of this 15 MOA rail.
It clamps onto the CZ 457's factory 11mm dovetail with four included set screws. No drilling or tapping. The listing calls for a 5/64-inch Allen wrench, careful tightening, and approximately 8 in-lb of torque. Purple threadlocker is optional.
It's designed for right-hand CZ 457 receivers with the standard factory 11mm dovetail, across compatible CZ 457 calibers. We wouldn't claim left-hand fitment from that specification. Check your receiver configuration before ordering.
