PETE'S PILLARS BEDDING HELPER HARDWARE | M6 × 1.0 METRIC
The Pete's Pillars Bedding Helper Hardware Kit M6 × 1.0 is the companion hardware for rifle stock pillar bedding projects built around M6 × 1.0 metric action screws. It's there for the alignment and fitting work, helping keep the action and pillars lined up while you build a solid bedding foundation.
You've picked the right pillar dimensions and you're ready to work on the stock. This is the other piece of the job: helper hardware matched to the action screw threads, so you're not trying to make the wrong fastener work. Pair it with our Competition, SlimLine or Gunsmith pillar bedding products. Use it for: stock bedding, pillar positioning, replacement stock projects and custom rifle builds using M6 × 1.0 action screw threads.
The action screw thread is the starting point for choosing helper hardware. The stock inlet tells you which profile of pillar kit belongs in the build; the threaded interface tells you which helper kit to use. Keeping those choices separate makes it easier to match the hardware to the rifle without confusing metric, imperial or fine-thread action screw patterns.
These are the mainstream rifle platforms to check for this thread specification. They cover several of our existing Pete's Pillars bedding kit families, but model-specific screw configurations still matter.
T3, T3x and T1x
Howa 1500 Short Action, Howa 1500 Long Action, Howa Mini Action and Weatherby Vanguard
CZ 452 and CZ 455
Smith & Wesson Model 1500 and select Sako actions, subject to confirmation of the exact action screw pitch
We make profiled pillars for different rifle inlets and stock dimensions. Choose the pillar kit for the rifle and stock first, then use this M6 × 1.0 helper hardware when the action screws match.
Also available: Tikka SlimLine, Howa / Weatherby SlimLine, CZ 455 SlimLine and CZ 452 Competition pillars.

Product: Bedding Helper Hardware Kit
Thread: M6 × 1.0 metric
Application: Alignment and fitting during rifle stock pillar bedding work on compatible M6 × 1.0 actions
Your Choice: Competition, SlimLine and Gunsmith pillar bedding kits and bedding epoxy (sold separately)
Thread fitment, rifle inlets and putting together the right bedding hardware.
Common examples include Tikka T1x and T3/T3x, Howa 1500 and Mini Action, Weatherby Vanguard, and CZ 452/455. The Smith & Wesson Model 1500 and certain Sako actions can also be candidates. The deciding specification is the action screw thread on your particular rifle, not just the stock inlet name.
No. The CZ 457 uses M5 x 0.8 action screws, so this M6 x 1.0 helper kit is not the correct choice. Match the helper hardware to the actual action screw thread.
Yes, when the rifle uses M6 x 1.0 action screw threads. Our Competition, SlimLine and Gunsmith pillar sets are selected by the action and stock, while the helper hardware is selected by the threaded action screw interface.
Your Choice: the profiled pillar kit and bedding epoxy, where desired, are sold separately. This is the companion helper hardware for alignment work on an M6 x 1.0 application.
No. It is bedding helper hardware intended for the fitting and alignment stage of a stock bedding project, not a replacement set of finished action screws.
The stock brand does not establish thread compatibility. This kit works around an M6 x 1.0 action screw thread; choose the matching rifle inlet and pillar dimensions for the aftermarket stock itself.
Do not choose this kit based on the rifle brand alone. For example, many Anschutz Match 54 actions use M6 x 0.75 fine threads, CZ 457 uses M5 x 0.8, and Remington 700 generally uses 1/4-28. Those are different from M6 x 1.0. Check the thread specification before selecting helper hardware.
