MDT Oryx Ruger American Short Action Chassis – Desert Chocolate Chip
Build your Ruger American into a more capable precision, competition, or hunting rifle with the MDT Oryx Sportsman Chassis in custom Desert Chocolate Chip camouflage.
The Oryx combines a rigid aluminum chassis, adjustable ergonomics, M-LOK accessory mounting, and AICS-pattern magazine compatibility in a platform designed for PRS-style competition, long-range shooting, hunting, and field use.
This 103725-DCC version gives the Ruger American one of our most distinctive custom Oryx finishes: the classic Desert Chocolate Chip pattern.
Built for Precision & Positional Shooting
The Ruger American is an excellent foundation for a practical precision rifle, and the Oryx gives the action the adjustability and rigidity needed to build well beyond the factory stock.
Its aluminum chassis provides a stable bedding platform for the action, while the adjustable cheekpiece and length of pull help establish a consistent position behind the rifle.
- Rigid aluminum chassis system
- Stable action bedding platform
- Free-floated barrel
- Adjustable cheekpiece
- Adjustable length of pull
- M-LOK accessory mounting
- AICS-pattern magazine compatibility
PRS, Barricades & Long-Range Shooting
For PRS-style shooting and positional practice, the Oryx gives the Ruger American a much more configurable platform for working from prone, bags, barricades, and supported positions.
The M-LOK forend can be set up around bipods, weights, sling hardware, or ARCA equipment as the rifle evolves from a simple range build into a more purpose-driven competition setup.
Add our
Pete's Pillars Full-Length Oryx ARCA Rail
for a continuous ARCA mounting surface for compatible bipods, tripod clamps, and positional shooting equipment.
A Capable Hunting & Field Chassis
The same features that make the Oryx useful in competition also translate well to a precision hunting rifle.
The adjustable stock helps create consistent cheek weld and eye alignment behind the optic, while the rigid chassis gives the rifle a repeatable foundation for field positions, zero confirmation, and longer-range shooting.
For hunters who want more adjustability and accessory support from a Ruger American without stepping into a full custom rifle, the Oryx makes a very practical upgrade.
Custom Desert Chocolate Chip Finish
Our Desert Chocolate Chip finish brings the classic six-color desert camouflage look to the modern Oryx chassis.
The tan-based pattern gives the rifle a distinctive field-oriented appearance while the black cheekpiece, grip, buttpad, hardware, and other contrasting components keep the finished chassis visually balanced.
Pattern placement varies slightly from chassis to chassis, giving each finished rifle its own look.
