The MDT Oryx Sportsman Chassis in custom M81 Woodland Cerakote combines the rigidity and adjustability of MDT's popular Oryx platform with one of the most recognizable camouflage patterns ever developed.
Designed for Remington 700 Long Action rifles, this chassis features a precision-machined aluminum backbone, integrated V-block bedding, free-floating barrel channel, adjustable buttstock, and modular M-LOK accessory mounting.
The M81 Woodland camouflage is a custom Cerakote finish offered by Pete's Pillars, applied to the chassis's exterior panels while retaining the original black structural components and hardware.

Custom M81 Woodland Cerakote Finish
M81 Woodland is a classic four-color camouflage pattern combining forest greens, earthy browns, tan, and black.
The pattern brings a distinctive appearance to the MDT Oryx, contrasting the custom camouflage panels against the black grip, cheekpiece, buttpad, and exposed aluminum chassis components.
Unlike MDT's standard factory colors, this configuration features a custom-applied M81 Woodland Cerakote finish selected by Pete's Pillars.
The original Oryx chassis design remains unchanged, preserving factory fitment, ergonomics, and accessory compatibility.
Because each camouflage finish is individually applied, pattern positioning and minor color variations may differ between chassis.
Rigid Aluminum Chassis & V-Block Bedding
The foundation of the Oryx is its precision-machined 6061 aluminum chassis with integrated V-block bedding.
Unlike conventional factory stocks that may flex under pressure, the aluminum chassis provides a rigid mounting surface for the rifle action.
The V-block bedding interface supports consistent action positioning without requiring traditional glass bedding.
The barrel remains free-floating, helping minimize unwanted contact between the forend and barrel during supported shooting.
Together, these features create a stable mechanical foundation for precision shooting, hunting, and long-range rifle applications.
Adjustable Buttstock & Ergonomics
A comfortable, repeatable shooting position starts with a rifle that fits the shooter.
The MDT Oryx features an adjustable cheek riser and length-of-pull system, allowing owners to refine their position behind the optic.
The chassis also accepts compatible AR-15-style pistol grips, giving shooters additional flexibility in grip shape and hand positioning.
For easier adjustments, the MDT Oryx Tool-Less Cheek Riser Wheels eliminate the need for tools when changing cheekpiece height.
M-LOK Forend & Modular Accessories
The Oryx incorporates M-LOK mounting provisions along the underside of the forend, providing a convenient interface for compatible bipods, rails, and shooting accessories.
An integrated barricade stop provides a consistent contact point during supported shooting.
For shooters who want more mounting flexibility, the Oryx can be expanded with full-length ARCA rails, M-LOK side panels, chassis weights, and additional sling attachment options.
The Pete's Pillars Full-Length Oryx ARCA Rail adds a continuous ARCA mounting surface along with two integrated QD sling cups.

Remington 700 Long Action Compatibility
This Oryx configuration is designed for right-handed Remington 700 Long Action rifles and compatible Remington 700-pattern actions using the appropriate inlet.
The chassis accepts compatible long-action AICS-pattern detachable magazines, replacing the factory magazine or hinged-floorplate arrangement where applicable.
Magazine selection should match the rifle's cartridge, action configuration, and supported magazine length.
