MDT Oryx Sportsman Chassis – Remington 700 Long Action FDE
The MDT Oryx Sportsman Chassis brings the rigidity, adjustability, and modularity of a precision rifle chassis to the Remington 700 Long Action platform.
Designed for right-handed Remington 700 Long Action rifles, this configuration features MDT's factory Flat Dark Earth (FDE) color, a precision-machined aluminum chassis, integrated V-block bedding, adjustable buttstock, and free-floating barrel channel.
Whether you're upgrading a factory hunting rifle, building a long-range precision rifle, or developing a competition setup, the Oryx provides a stable foundation with plenty of room for customization.
Rigid Aluminum Chassis & V-Block Bedding
The foundation of the MDT Oryx is its precision-machined 6061 aluminum chassis with integrated V-block bedding.
The rigid bedding surface helps support consistent action positioning without requiring traditional glass bedding. Unlike conventional factory stocks that may flex under pressure, the Oryx provides a solid aluminum structure for the rifle action.
The free-floating barrel channel minimizes unwanted barrel contact during supported shooting, helping maintain consistency across different shooting positions.
Adjustable Buttstock & Ergonomics
The Oryx features an adjustable cheek riser and length-of-pull system, allowing shooters to establish a comfortable, repeatable position behind their rifle.
Compatible AR-15-style pistol grips provide additional flexibility for hand positioning and personal preference.
For easier cheekpiece adjustments, the MDT Oryx Tool-Less Cheek Riser Wheels make adjusting cheek height more convenient.
M-LOK Forend & ARCA Compatibility
The Oryx incorporates M-LOK mounting provisions along the underside of the forend, allowing compatible bipods, accessory rails, and other equipment to be installed.
An integrated barricade stop provides a consistent contact point when shooting from supported positions.
For additional mounting flexibility, the chassis can be upgraded with full-length ARCA rails, M-LOK side panels, external weights, and QD sling attachment points.
The Pete's Pillars Full-Length Oryx ARCA Rail adds a continuous ARCA mounting interface along with two integrated QD sling cups.
Remington 700 Long Action Compatibility
This chassis is designed for right-handed Remington 700 Long Action rifles and compatible Remington 700-pattern actions using the appropriate inlet.
The Oryx accepts compatible long-action AICS-pattern detachable magazines, replacing the original factory magazine or hinged-floorplate arrangement where applicable.
