The MDT Oryx Sportsman Chassis in custom Arctic Camo Cerakote combines the proven performance of MDT's aluminum chassis platform with a distinctive winter-inspired camouflage finish.
Designed for right-handed Remington 700 Short Action rifles, the Oryx features integrated V-block bedding, a free-floating barrel channel, adjustable buttstock, and modular M-LOK accessory mounting.
The Arctic Camo finish is a custom Cerakote configuration offered by Pete's Pillars, applied to the exterior panels while retaining the original black structural components and hardware.

Custom Arctic Camo Cerakote Finish
Arctic Camo gives the Oryx a bold cold-weather-inspired appearance, pairing contrasting camouflage tones with the chassis's original black structural components.
This custom finish highlights the Oryx's angular styling while preserving the original chassis geometry, ergonomics, and accessory compatibility.
Unlike MDT's standard factory colors, this configuration features custom Arctic Camo Cerakote exterior panels offered through Pete's Pillars.
Each camouflage finish is individually applied, so minor variations in pattern placement and color may occur.
Precision Aluminum Chassis & V-Block Bedding
The Oryx features a precision-machined 6061 aluminum backbone with integrated V-block bedding, providing a rigid interface for the rifle action without requiring traditional glass bedding.
The free-floating barrel channel helps minimize unwanted barrel contact, while the solid aluminum structure reduces the flex associated with many conventional factory stocks.
With a maximum barrel diameter clearance of 1.25 inches, the chassis accommodates a wide range of factory and aftermarket barrel profiles.
The result is a practical precision rifle platform that offers the consistency and stability shooters expect from an aluminum chassis.
Adjustable Ergonomics & Modular Design
The integrated buttstock features an adjustable cheek riser and length-of-pull system, allowing shooters to establish a comfortable, repeatable position behind their optic.
Compatibility with standard AR-15-style pistol grips provides additional ergonomic flexibility, while the underside M-LOK interface supports compatible bipods, rails, and other accessories.
The Oryx can also accept optional full-length ARCA rails, M-LOK side panels, chassis weights, and sling mounting accessories.
For easier adjustment, the MDT Oryx Tool-Less Cheek Riser Wheels simplify cheekpiece changes without tools.
Remington 700 Short Action Compatibility
This configuration is designed for right-handed Remington 700 Short Action rifles and compatible actions using the appropriate Remington 700 SA inlet.
The chassis uses compatible AICS-pattern short-action detachable magazines, making it suitable for popular chamberings such as .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, .243 Winchester, and other appropriately configured short-action cartridges.
