MDT ORYX SAVAGE 110 LONG ACTION CHASSIS – OLIVE DRAB GREEN
Long-Action Power. Chassis-Level Consistency.
The MDT Oryx Sportsman Chassis for the Savage 110 long action turns a factory magnum or .30-06-class Savage into a modern precision rifle. The action beds on an aluminum block, the barrel free-floats, and the rifle converts to AICS detachable magazines, with an M-LOK forend, a barricade-stop magwell and an AR-compatible grip. Finished in Cerakote Olive Drab Green.
Long-action Savages in .300 Win Mag, 7mm PRC, .30-06 and similar cartridges are built for long shots and big game, but a flexing factory stock can't take full advantage of what the barreled action can do. The Oryx locks the action into a rigid aluminum bedding block and free-floats the barrel, so point of impact stays consistent shot after shot and season after season. Overmolded panels keep it comfortable in the cold, and AICS magazines make loading fast and quiet.
It's equally at home on an elk rifle, a long-range setup or a magnum practice gun. Start with a capable chassis, then add only what you need as the rifle evolves.
The Olive Drab Green Finish.
Cerakote Olive Drab Green is a natural fit for timber, brush and green-season country, blending into foliage while giving the rifle a classic field-rifle look. Cerakote also adds a durable, corrosion-resistant layer that stands up to rain, snow and hard use.
Complete It: Small Upgrades, Big Difference.
A few low-cost additions make the Oryx noticeably better behind the gun. MDT's Tool-Less Cheek Riser Wheels let you adjust cheek height in the field without a wrench. Our Pete's Pillars M-LOK Exterior Forend Weights, made in the USA, help settle a recoiling magnum on the bags. Magazines are your choice: run the MDT AICS Metal LA 3.85 5-Round for .300 Win Mag and other magnum cartridges, or the Accurate-Mag AICS LA 3.715 3-Round for .30-06-length rounds; match the magazine to your caliber and action length. Add a fast-deploying MDT GRND-POD M-LOK Bipod for a simple, field-ready rest.
The Next Level: A Precision-Ready Oryx.
Ready to turn a hunting chassis into a true long-range rig? Our Made-in-USA Oryx upgrades work together as a system. The Pete's Pillars Full-Length ARCA Rail for MDT Oryx adds a continuous ARCA surface along the forend with integrated QD sling cups, so you can clamp an ARCA bipod like the MDT Ckye-Pod Gen3 Compact or a tripod anywhere you need it. Pair it with the Pete's Pillars Oryx Rear Buttstock Weight, which adds two side QD sling cups, frees the bottom-rear M-LOK slot for a bag rider and adds a net 5.4 oz of rear weight for balance and recoil control. Together they give a magnum Oryx the stability of a competition chassis.

Frequently Asked Questions
Fit, magazines, finish and building out your long-action Savage.
Which rifles does it fit?
It fits the right-hand Savage 110 long action, in cartridges such as .30-06, .25-06, .300 Win Mag, 7mm Rem Mag, 7mm PRC and .300 PRC. It does not fit the Savage Axis, which uses a separate Oryx model.
Which magazines do I need?
The Oryx converts your rifle to long-action AICS magazines, and the choice is yours. Match the magazine to your cartridge length: magnum cartridges typically use a 3.85" magazine like the MDT AICS Metal LA 3.85 5-Round, while .30-06-length rounds use a 3.715" magazine like the Accurate-Mag AICS LA 3.715.
Is a grip included?
Yes. The Oryx includes an AR-compatible grip, and you can swap in any AR-15 grip you prefer.
Can I add an ARCA rail?
What does the Pete's Pillars Rear Buttstock Weight add?
The Oryx Rear Buttstock Weight adds two side QD sling cups, frees the bottom-rear M-LOK slot for a bag rider and adds a net 5.4 oz of rear weight (7.3 oz versus the 1.9 oz original), helpful for taming magnum recoil.
Is the Olive Drab Green finish durable?
Yes. The Olive Drab Green is a Cerakote finish, which adds a hard, corrosion-resistant layer that holds up to weather and field use.
Can I get a custom Cerakote finish?
We custom Cerakote Oryx chassis in patterns like M81 Woodland and Arctic Camo, with fast lead times on most builds. Contact us to discuss a custom finish for your long-action Oryx.
