MDT ORYX SAVAGE 110 LONG ACTION CHASSIS – FLAT DARK EARTH

The MDT Oryx Sportsman Chassis for the Savage 110 long action turns a factory magnum or .30-06-class Savage into a modern precision rifle. The action beds on an aluminum block, the barrel free-floats, and the rifle converts to AICS detachable magazines, with an M-LOK forend, a barricade-stop magwell and an AR-compatible grip. Finished in Cerakote Flat Dark Earth.
Long-action Savages in .300 Win Mag, 7mm PRC, .30-06 and similar cartridges are built for long shots and big game, but a flexing factory stock can't take full advantage of what the barreled action can do. The Oryx locks the action into a rigid aluminum bedding block and free-floats the barrel, so point of impact stays consistent shot after shot and season after season. Overmolded panels keep it comfortable in the cold, and AICS magazines make loading fast and quiet.
It's equally at home on a western mule deer or pronghorn rifle, a long-range setup or a magnum practice gun. Start with a capable chassis, then add only what you need as the rifle evolves.
The Flat Dark Earth Finish.
Cerakote Flat Dark Earth blends into open plains, sage, desert and late-season grass, the kind of country where long-action cartridges earn their keep. It pairs naturally with tan, coyote and earth-tone gear, and with black or stainless barrels and optics. Cerakote also adds a hard, corrosion-resistant layer that holds up to sun, dust and weather.

Which rifles does it fit?
It fits the right-hand Savage 110 long action, in cartridges such as .30-06, .25-06, .300 Win Mag, 7mm Rem Mag, 7mm PRC and .300 PRC. It does not fit the Savage Axis, which uses a separate Oryx model.
Which magazines do I need?
The Oryx converts your rifle to long-action AICS magazines, and the choice is yours. Match the magazine to your cartridge length: magnum cartridges typically use a 3.85" magazine like the MDT AICS Metal LA 3.85 5-Round, while .30-06-length rounds use a 3.715" magazine like the Accurate-Mag AICS LA 3.715.
Is a grip included?
Yes. The Oryx includes an AR-compatible grip, and you can swap in any AR-15 grip you prefer.
Can I add an ARCA rail?

The Oryx Rear Buttstock Weight adds two side QD sling cups, frees the bottom-rear M-LOK slot for a bag rider and adds a net 5.4 oz of rear weight (7.3 oz versus the 1.9 oz original), helpful for taming magnum recoil.
Where does Flat Dark Earth work best?
FDE blends into desert, prairie, sage and late-season grass, and it complements tan, coyote and earth-tone gear. As a Cerakote finish, it also resists corrosion and wear in hard field use.
