The MDT Oryx Sportsman Chassis for the Savage 110 long action turns a factory long-action Savage into a modern precision rifle. The action beds on an aluminum block, the barrel free-floats, and the rifle converts to AICS detachable magazines, with an M-LOK forend, a barricade-stop magwell and an AR-compatible grip. Custom Cerakoted in Blaze Orange by Pete's Pillars.
Long-action Savages, from .30-06 and .25-06 to 7mm Rem Mag and .300 Win Mag, are built for long shots and big game, but a flexing factory stock can't take full advantage of what the barreled action can do. The Oryx locks the action into a rigid aluminum bedding block and free-floats the barrel, so point of impact stays consistent shot after shot and season after season. Overmolded panels keep it comfortable in the cold, and AICS magazines make loading fast and quiet.
It's equally at home on a deer or elk rifle, a long-range setup or a range practice gun. Start with a capable chassis, then add only what you need as the rifle evolves.
The Blaze Orange Finish.
Blaze Orange makes the rifle easy to spot in camp, in the truck or when you set it down in the field, and it gives any build a bold, classic hunting look. It's custom Cerakoted by Pete's Pillars, with fast in-stock lead times on most builds.

Which rifles does it fit?
It fits the right-hand Savage 110 long action, in cartridges such as .30-06, .25-06, .300 Win Mag, 7mm Rem Mag, 7mm PRC and .300 PRC. It does not fit the Savage Axis, which uses a separate Oryx model.
Which magazines do I need?
The Oryx converts your rifle to long-action AICS magazines, and the choice is yours. Match the magazine to your cartridge length: magnum cartridges typically use a 3.85" magazine like the MDT AICS Metal LA 3.85 5-Round, while .30-06-length rounds use a 3.715" magazine like the Accurate-Mag AICS LA 3.715.
Is a grip included?
Yes. The Oryx includes an AR-compatible grip, and you can swap in any AR-15 grip you prefer.
Can I add an ARCA rail?
What does the Pete's Pillars Rear Buttstock Weight add?
The Oryx Rear Buttstock Weight adds two side QD sling cups, frees the bottom-rear M-LOK slot for a bag rider and adds a net 5.4 oz of rear weight (7.3 oz versus the 1.9 oz original), helpful for managing recoil.
Is the Blaze Orange finish custom?
Yes. It's custom Cerakoted by Pete's Pillars, with fast in-stock lead times on most builds. As with any hand-applied Cerakote, shade may vary slightly from images and between parts.
Can I get a different custom finish?
