PETE'S PILLARS | CZ 457 OPTICS MOUNTING
A Solid Starting Point for Your Scope.
Built by Pete's Pillars in the USA, the PP457-0 converts your CZ 457 factory 11mm receiver dovetail into a Picatinny mounting surface. Clean, low-profile, and without added cant—just a straightforward way to mount the optic you want.
Whether your CZ 457 spends its days in the squirrel woods, on the bench, or at the range, an optic mounting solution should be easy to understand and suited to the rifle. The Pete's Pillars PP457-0 0 MOA scope rail gives you a standard Picatinny interface for compatible scope rings without drilling or tapping the receiver.
Machined from aluminum and finished in black hardcoat anodizing, this USA-made scope base clamps to the factory 11mm dovetail using four supplied set screws. Its 0 MOA profile keeps your optic on a neutral mounting plane rather than building additional elevation into the rail.
The Right Rail for the Way You Shoot
For hunting, recreational range time, and many bench setups, 0 MOA is a practical place to start. It adds no forward cant, so your riflescope's own adjustment range determines the usable elevation. Shooters comparing CZ 457 scope rail options from brands such as Area 419 and DIP will recognize the choice between neutral and canted bases; our PP457-0 is the straightforward Pete's Pillars-made 0 MOA option.
Need more built-in elevation? We also make the PP45715 15 MOA Picatinny Rail and PP45730 30 MOA Picatinny Rail. Pick the amount of cant that makes sense for your scope and intended distances rather than assuming more is automatically better.
Running a heavy-profile barrel and need extra clearance? Ask about our separate extra-clearance clamp-on rail, designed to provide more room around larger barrel contours. It is a different product from the low-profile PP457-0; contact us for details while its product page is not yet linked.
More Than an Optics Upgrade
Pete's Pillars has over six years of experience making practical parts for CZ rimfire rifles. If you're working through the rest of your CZ 457 setup, consider our PP457FP-T Reshaped-Tip Firing Pin or the PP457LCI Extended Stainless Steel Cocking Indicator. Both are part of our expanding line of USA-made CZ bolt components.
Looking beyond the rail? For traditional-stock feel, explore the MDT Field Stock or KRG Bravo. Dedicated match-rifle builds can move into the MDT LSS Gen3 Competitor, MDT ACC Premier Gen2, or flagship MDT ACC Elite. These are complete stock or chassis options for a broader CZ 457 build—not requirements for using the PP457-0.

Frequently Asked Questions
Real answers about receiver protection, barrel clearance, rings, and choosing the right MOA.
Will this rail damage the receiver?
No. Properly installed, the PP457-0 uses the CZ 457's existing dovetail without drilling or permanently altering the receiver. As with any set-screw mount, excessive tightening or direct metal contact can leave a small cosmetic mark. If you're particular about preserving the finish, a small snip of soft copper wire, trimmed to fit (some shooters use a piece roughly pencil-eraser-sized), or a punched-to-size brass shim can be placed at the set-screw contact point as an optional buffer. It's not required for normal installation. Just make sure the rail stays properly seated and secured.
I have a heavy barrel. Is this the rail I want?
If barrel-to-rail clearance is tight, take a look at our separate extra-clearance clamp-on rail, designed to give larger barrel contours more room. It's a different product from the low-profile PP457-0. Contact us for details while its dedicated product link is unavailable.
What does 0 MOA actually mean?
It means the rail doesn't add built-in forward cant. That's a practical choice for hunting, plinking, bench shooting, and setups where your scope already has the elevation adjustment you need. If you want cant for longer distances, check our 15 MOA or 30 MOA options.
Does the rail work on every CZ 457?
The PP457-0 is made for right-hand CZ 457 receivers with the standard factory 11mm dovetail, across the usual CZ 457 calibers. If your receiver has been modified or you're working with a left-hand setup, check the configuration before ordering.
Do I need to drill or tap my rifle?
No. The rail clamps onto the factory dovetail using four supplied set screws. It doesn't call for new holes in the receiver. Avoid over-tightening; follow the mounting guidance for your setup.
Can I use Picatinny or Weaver scope rings?
Yes. The top of the rail provides a Picatinny-style mounting surface for compatible Picatinny rings and many Weaver-style rings, including suitable quick-release designs. Check your ring maker's fitment guidance.
Should I buy the 0, 15, or 30 MOA version?
Choose 0 MOA if you want a neutral base and have enough adjustment in your optic. The 15 MOA rail adds moderate cant, while 30 MOA is intended for setups that benefit from more elevation travel. Your scope's adjustment range and typical shooting distance should drive the choice.
