PETE'S PILLARS | MADE IN USA | MDT ORYX UPGRADES
The Pete's Pillars MDT Oryx Rear Buttstock Weight gives you two integrated QD sling cups—one on each side—so you can attach your sling without occupying the bottom M-LOK slot. Keep that slot open for a bag rider or rear support accessory, whether you're carrying your rifle through the woods or moving between positions at a match. Made in USA.
A sling shouldn't force you to give up another accessory. On the MDT Oryx, the bottom rear M-LOK slot is valuable space for a bag rider or other support equipment. Our machined aluminum replacement moves sling attachment to the sides of the stock, letting you use your sling and your rear M-LOK accessory together. It's a clean, practical upgrade for both hunters and competition shooters.
With a QD sling cup on the left and right, you can set up the Oryx for the sling position you prefer. Attach your sling for the walk to your stand, through the field, or between competition stages while leaving the bottom M-LOK position ready for a rear bag rider. No extra QD mount taking up that slot. No need to choose between carrying your rifle and using your preferred rear support.
Pair the rear weight with our Pete's Pillars Full-Length ARCA Rail for MDT Oryx to get more out of your chassis from front to back. The rail provides a continuous ARCA surface for positioning a compatible bipod or tripod clamp, plus integrated QD sling mounting points. Run your bipod and sling together instead of sacrificing one mounting position for the other. That's a particularly useful combination for a hunting rifle that also sees the bench—or a competition rifle you carry between stages.
There's another advantage built into this replacement: balance. The original Oryx polymer rear part weighs about 1.9 oz; our machined aluminum version weighs approximately 7.3 oz. That's 5.4 oz of additional rear weight to help offset a heavy barrel, suppressor, large optic, or forend-mounted accessories. You get useful rear mass without bolting an awkward weight onto the outside of your stock.
For more control over the front of the rifle, add our solid M-LOK exterior weights at 12.3 oz per pair or the pocketed M-LOK weight set at 11.5 oz per pair. Genuine MDT Oryx M-LOK Side Panels provide additional mounting positions. For a premium ARCA-compatible support setup, take a look at the MDT Ckye-Pod Gen3 Compact.
