Installation is straightforward and requires no drilling or tapping. The rail mounts directly to the factory 3/8" dovetail and is secured using six included 1/16" Allen drive set screws. The part number or white orientation mark on the underside of the rail must face forward toward the muzzle. Due to normal variations in Henry’s factory finish—sometimes thicker or uneven—minor fitting may be required.
Installation should be performed by a competent gunsmith or an individual with proper tools and experience.

Tip: To help prevent marring the rifle’s finish, a small piece of brass or copper can be placed in the set screw hole after positioning the rail and before tightening the screws.
