Savage Axis & Axis II Short Action Compatibility
This ORYX configuration is designed specifically for right-handed Savage Axis and Savage Axis II Short Action rifles.
It provides a chassis replacement for compatible factory Savage Axis configurations, including rifles originally supplied with traditional sporting stocks.
The ORYX replaces the factory magazine arrangement with an AICS-pattern short-action detachable magazine interface, opening access to widely available precision rifle magazines.
For compatible .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor rifles, consider the MDT AICS Polymer 10-Round Magazine – 104447-BLK.
Other cartridges, including .223 Remington, require their corresponding magazine configurations.
Fitment: This chassis is for the Savage Axis Short Action inlet. It is not interchangeable with standard Savage 110 Short Action, Savage Long Action, or Savage Axis Long Action chassis inlets. Magazines are sold separately.
