MDT Oryx Ruger American Short Action Chassis – ODG
Build your Ruger American into a more capable precision, competition, or hunting rifle with the MDT Oryx Sportsman Chassis in Olive Drab Green.
The Oryx combines a rigid aluminum chassis, adjustable ergonomics, M-LOK accessory mounting, and AICS-pattern magazine compatibility in a platform that works just as well shooting prone or from a barricade as it does in the field.
This 103725-ODG configuration pairs the Ruger American short action inlet with MDT's classic Olive Drab Green panels and contrasting black components.
Built for Precision & Positional Shooting
The Ruger American has become a popular starting point for practical precision rifle builds, and the Oryx gives the action a much more substantial and configurable foundation than the factory stock.
Its aluminum chassis supports the action consistently while the free-floated forend, adjustable cheekpiece, and adjustable length of pull help create a repeatable shooting position behind the rifle.
- Rigid aluminum chassis system
- Stable action bedding platform
- Free-floated barrel
- Adjustable cheekpiece
- Adjustable length of pull
- M-LOK accessory mounting
- AICS-pattern magazine compatibility
PRS, Barricades & Long-Range Shooting
For PRS-style competition, local precision matches, and positional practice, the Oryx gives the Ruger American the adjustability and accessory support needed to grow with the rifle.
The forend can be configured with bipods, weights, sling hardware, or ARCA equipment, while the chassis provides a solid interface with bags, barricades, and other shooting supports.

At Home in the Field
The Oryx also makes an excellent foundation for a Ruger American hunting rifle.
An adjustable cheekpiece helps establish consistent eye alignment behind the optic, while the rigid chassis and free-floated barrel give the rifle a repeatable setup for practice, zero confirmation, and field shooting.
The Olive Drab Green finish fits naturally into a hunting or field-oriented build while still looking right at home on a competition or range rifle.
Olive Drab Green Oryx Finish
ODG is one of the classic factory Oryx color options, pairing Olive Drab Green exterior panels with the chassis' black grip, cheekpiece, buttpad, and hardware.
It gives the rifle a subdued field-oriented appearance without giving up the clean lines and modular design of the Oryx system.
