MDT POLY/METAL AICS SHORT ACTION MAGAZINE – .308 WIN / 6.5 CREEDMOOR – 10 ROUND
The MDT Poly/Metal AICS Magazine combines a lightweight high-strength polymer body with a steel feed lip assembly that holds the latching boss. At just 5.5 oz for 10 rounds of .308 Win or 6.5 Creedmoor, it gives you the durability of metal where it matters most with the light weight of polymer everywhere else.
The feed lips are the most critical part of any magazine. They control how each round presents to the chamber, and they take the most abuse. MDT's Poly/Metal design puts steel exactly there, so feeding stays consistent through drops and hard use, while the polymer body keeps the magazine light enough for a hunting rifle and tough enough for a match. The steel feed lips can also be tuned for other cartridges in the .308 family.
It's an excellent all-around choice for hunters, PRS shooters and anyone who wants one magazine that does it all in a short-action AICS rifle.
This magazine fits most AICS-pattern short-action chassis and bottom metal, including MDT's popular Oryx chassis and the MDT Field Stock. It supports a maximum cartridge overall length of 2.870 inches and runs .308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6mm Creedmoor, .243 Win, .260 Rem, 7mm-08, 6.5x47 and 6x47 Lapua, and 7.62 NATO, with reduced capacity in .22-250.
Most shooters carry more than one magazine. Pair this 10-round with the low-profile MDT AICS SA Flush-Mount 3-Round for a slim hunting carry, or the MDT AICS Polymer 5-Round for prone and bench work. Prefer an all-polymer option? See the MDT AICS Polymer 10-Round or the Magpul AICS 5-Round SA.
Still running a factory stock? An AICS-compatible chassis is the biggest single upgrade you can make. Explore the MDT Oryx Chassis Collection, where our Made-in-USA Oryx ARCA rail and rear buttstock weight take the platform even further, and add an ARCA bipod like the MDT Ckye-Pod Gen3 Compact or the M-LOK MDT GRND-POD.
