The Volquartsen VC4PCK Pistol Competition Kit combines two popular Ruger Mark IV component packages into one comprehensive upgrade: the Volquartsen Accurizing Kit and Bolt Tune-Up Kit.
Designed for the Ruger Mark IV, Mark IV 22/45, and 22/45 Lite, this kit includes precision-machined trigger components, an Exact Edge Extractor, and a SureStrike Firing Pin.
The standard VC4PCK configuration features Volquartsen's black Target Trigger and is designed to provide an approximately 2.25 lb trigger pull.
Two Volquartsen Kits in One Package
The Pistol Competition Kit combines the following factory Volquartsen component groups:
- Mark IV Accurizing Kit: Target Trigger, Target Hammer, Target Sear, CNC-machined disconnector, hammer bushing, trigger plunger, spring, and associated components.
- Mark IV Bolt Tune-Up Kit: Volquartsen Exact Edge Extractor and SureStrike Firing Pin.
By combining both kits, the VC4PCK provides the components of Volquartsen's trigger and bolt upgrade packages in one manufacturer-selected configuration.
Volquartsen Target Trigger & Accurizing Kit
The included black Target Trigger offers adjustable pretravel and overtravel, while the precision-machined internal components are designed to provide a crisp, consistent trigger feel.
Volquartsen specifies an approximately 2.25 lb trigger pull for the conventional Target Trigger configuration. Actual results can vary depending on the individual firearm.
The Target Hammer and Target Sear are manufactured from wire EDM-cut A2 tool steel, while the disconnector is CNC-machined.
Magazine Disconnect Notice: The Accurizing Kit eliminates the factory magazine disconnect. Following installation, the firearm may fire without a magazine inserted. This changes the original safety configuration and must be understood by anyone handling the firearm.
Exact Edge Extractor & SureStrike Firing Pin
The included Volquartsen Bolt Tune-Up Kit contains two precision components designed for the Ruger Mark Series:
- Exact Edge Extractor: A replacement extractor designed to provide consistent cartridge case engagement and extraction.
- SureStrike Firing Pin: A precision replacement firing pin designed for consistent rimfire cartridge ignition.
These components address two common areas of interest among Ruger Mark IV owners: extraction performance and ignition consistency.

Competition Kit vs. Volquartsen Accurizing Kit
