Pete’s Pillars CZ 457 firing pins are precision machined from tool steel, hardened, and put through our proprietary multi-step finishing process with nitriding for increased wear and corrosion resistance.
Recommended for most CZ 457 applications, including .22 WMR and 17 HMR If you are replacing the factory firing pin and do not specifically need the reshaped-tip version, this is the model we recommend.

Nitriding isn’t a coating or plating applied on top of the part. It is a diffusion-based treatment that modifies the surface of the steel itself, creating a hardened, wear-resistant surface without relying on a finish that can chip, peel, or flake away.
You already know what can happen to the factory finish on a CZ 457 firing pin. We wanted something better.
