MDT Field Stock Savage 110 Short Action – Flat Dark Earth, 105828-FDE
The MDT Field Stock 105828-FDE combines modern precision rifle engineering with the familiar comfort of a traditional sporting stock. Designed for compatible Savage 110, 10, 11, and 12 Short Action rifles, it features precision aluminum V-block bedding, an overmolded polymer exterior, adjustable ergonomics, and M-LOK accessory mounting at an accessible price.
Finished in Flat Dark Earth (FDE) with contrasting black components, this right-handed stock is an excellent choice for hunters, recreational shooters, and Savage owners looking to upgrade their rifle without investing in a dedicated competition chassis.
Traditional Hunting Comfort with Modern Precision
The Field Stock combines the familiar handling of a conventional sporting rifle with the structural advantages of an aluminum bedding core.
Its overmolded polymer body is less thermally conductive than exposed aluminum, providing more comfortable handling during cold hunting mornings and warm afternoons at the range. At approximately 3.1 pounds, it offers a practical balance of weight, rigidity, and adjustability.
- Aluminum V-Block Bedding: Precision-machined support for consistent action positioning.
- Free-Floating Barrel: Barrel channel clearance up to 1.25" in diameter.
- Adjustable Cheek Riser: Approximately 1.37" of vertical adjustment for comfortable optic alignment.
- Adjustable Length of Pull: 13.5"–14.5" using included spacers.
- All-Weather Polymer: Comfortable contact surfaces for year-round use.
- M-LOK Forend: Mount compatible bipods, weights, and shooting accessories.
- Front and Rear Sling Studs: Convenient sling attachment and support for traditional sling-stud bipods.
- Flat Dark Earth Finish: Classic outdoor styling with contrasting black hardware.
Drop-In Precision with Aluminum V-Block Bedding
The MDT Field Stock incorporates a precision-machined aluminum V-block bedding system within its polymer body, providing a solid, consistent foundation for compatible Savage Short Action receivers.
Designed for straightforward installation, the Field Stock combines a rigid bedding interface, free-floating barrel channel, and adjustable ergonomics in one practical package.
For Savage owners looking to refresh an existing rifle, it offers an accessible upgrade with the familiar handling of a traditional sporting stock and the benefits of modern precision chassis engineering.
Savage 110, 10, 11 & 12 Short Action Compatibility
The 105828-FDE is designed for compatible right-handed Savage Short Action rifles, including selected Savage 110 Hunter, 110 Tactical, 110 Storm, 110 Predator, 110 Ultralite, Savage 10, 11, 12, and related short-action configurations.
The stock uses a Short Action AICS-pattern detachable magazine interface, providing access to widely available magazines for compatible cartridges such as .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor.
Fitment Note: This is the standard Savage Short Action inlet, not the Savage Axis, Savage Mark II, or Savage Long Action version. MDT currently identifies 2026-production Savage 110 rifles as incompatible with its existing chassis inlets. Confirm action compatibility before ordering.
Practical Upgrades for Your Savage Field Stock
One advantage of the Field Stock is its flexibility. Keep your rifle light and comfortable for hunting, or add accessories as your interest in precision shooting develops.
Already own a compatible Harris-style sling-stud bipod? The Field Stock includes a front sling stud, allowing direct attachment using the bipod's existing mounting mechanism without purchasing another adapter.
