PETE'S PILLARS | CZ RIMFIRE MAGAZINE COMPONENTS
The Pete's Pillars PP457SR replaces the factory plastic CZ magazine well spacer with a black-anodized, CNC-machined aluminum block featuring a generously radiused opening. It's a small, purposeful change that makes magazine insertion more forgiving at the range, on the bench, or in the field.
The magazine well is one of those details you notice most when you're using the rifle. With the original squared opening, a magazine has to meet the spacer more precisely. Our PP457SR Radiused Magazine Well Spacer Block provides a smoother, wider lead-in to help guide compatible .22 LR magazines into place. Whether you're changing magazines during an NRL22 stage, hunting in gloves, or working from a bench, the benefit is simple: less fuss finding the opening.
Unlike a standard square-edged spacer, the PP457SR has a rounded entry designed to help the magazine find its position without requiring such exact initial alignment. The improvement is especially welcome when making repeated changes or wearing gloves in colder weather. It doesn't change the purpose of the magazine well spacer; it makes the entry more accommodating.
Prefer the familiar factory opening? We make that option, too. The PP457SB OEM-Style Aluminum Magazine Well Spacer retains the traditional squared opening in a billet aluminum replacement. Choose PP457SR for the radiused lead-in, or PP457SB when keeping the original opening geometry is the priority.
Each PP457SR is CNC-machined from 6061 billet aluminum and finished in black anodizing. It takes the place of the molded plastic magazine spacer with a rigid metal component while retaining the essential magazine-positioning role of the original assembly.
We also include a stainless steel retaining pin with the block. That's a useful extra when refreshing the magazine well assembly, rather than having to source a replacement pin separately. The existing magazine release, spring, and other components are not part of this kit.
The PP457SR is intended for compatible CZ 455, CZ 457, and CZ 512 rifles using the factory-style .22 LR magazine arrangement. It is designed as a straightforward replacement for the original spacer in nearly all standard configurations. Unusual or modified magazine housings may differ, so those setups should be checked individually.
The radiused spacer makes magazine insertion easier; an extended release can make the other half of a magazine change more accessible. Pete's Pillars manufactures the PP457MRB Extended Serrated Magazine Release for a more textured contact surface, alongside the PP457MRS Extended Smooth Magazine Release for shooters who prefer a clean, flat face. Check each release's listed model compatibility, particularly for CZ 512 applications.
Working on a CZ 457 rifle as a whole? Explore the traditional feel of the MDT Field Stock and KRG Bravo, or step into a competition-focused build with the MDT LSS Gen3 Competitor, MDT ACC Premier Gen2, or flagship MDT ACC Elite. These are CZ 457 stock and chassis choices, not fitment recommendations for the CZ 455 or CZ 512.
