VOLQUARTSEN | TG2000 & SUMMIT UPGRADES
The Volquartsen TG2000 Rapid Release upgrades the magazine release on your Volquartsen TG2000 or TGS (Summit) trigger group with two downward-extending paddles. Run both for ambidextrous control, or remove either with the included hex key. Hard-anodized aluminum, Made in USA.
A standard 10/22 magazine release asks you to shift your hand or reach awkwardly to drop a magazine. The Rapid Release puts the control where your fingers already are. Two paddles extend down from the main release, so your trigger-hand finger or support hand can drop the magazine while you keep your grip and your eyes on the target. In timed rimfire matches and fast training drills, that saved motion adds up stage after stage.
The paddles are machined from Type III hard-anodized aluminum and secured with a 4-40 x 3/32 screw and a 3/32 pin. Keep both paddles for ambidextrous use, or remove either one with the included 3/32 hex key to match your technique and shooting hand. It's a direct upgrade for owners who already run a Volquartsen TG2000 or TGS trigger group.
The Rapid Release fits only Volquartsen TG2000 and TGS trigger groups. If you're still running a factory Ruger trigger housing, the TandemKross Fireswitch Extended Magazine Release is a popular paddle-style option for faster mag changes, and the Volquartsen Extended Magazine Release is a simple, proven upgrade. For the full Volquartsen experience, step up to a complete TG2000 with the Rapid Release already installed: the TG2000 Rapid Release in Black, Silver or FDE.
The standard TG2000, with a crisp 2.25 lb pull, automatic bolt release and extended magazine release, is also available in Black, FDE, OD Green and Silver, ready for this Rapid Release upgrade. Complete the action with the Volquartsen 10/22 Competition Bolt Assembly and the Pete's Pillars 10/22 Bolt Buffer & Trigger Assembly Pin Kit, and browse more in our Ruger 10/22 Parts & Upgrades Collection.
