Originally developed for the rugged mountain terrain of New Zealand, the Mountain Bipod features an extraordinary 2.7"–15.8" height range, adjustable leg splay, and over 180 degrees of cant. Unlike conventional hunting bipods with limited leg positioning, the Mountain Bipod allows the legs to spread outward for an exceptionally low shooting position. This adjustable footprint provides greater flexibility when shooting from uneven terrain, rocks, hillsides, and other challenging natural surfaces.
The extended height range also accommodates vegetation and elevated shooting positions without requiring a separate taller bipod. Combined with extensive cant adjustment, the Mountain Bipod provides remarkable versatility for its minimal weight.
ARCA / RRS Dovetail Mounting
This 114796-BLK ARCA configuration features an ARCA/RRS dovetail attachment designed for compatible rifle chassis, hunting stocks, and accessory rails.
ARCA mounting allows the bipod to be repositioned along a compatible forend, providing additional flexibility for rifle balance, shooting position, and accessory placement. It is particularly well suited to modern precision chassis systems with integrated ARCA rails.
Compatibility Note: This is the ARCA model, not Picatinny. A compatible ARCA dovetail is required. The Mountain Bipod provides extensive cant adjustment but does not feature a separate panning mechanism.

Upgrade Your MDT Oryx with Pete's Pillars Full-Length ARCA Rail
Already own an MDT Oryx? You don't need to replace your chassis to take advantage of the Mountain Bipod's ARCA attachment.
Our Pete's Pillars Full-Length ARCA Rail for MDT Oryx – PPFL-ARC adds a continuous ARCA mounting surface along the underside of the Oryx forend, making it compatible with appropriately sized ARCA bipod clamps and tripod mounting systems.
Precision-machined from billet aluminum and finished with durable hardcoat anodizing, our USA-made upgrade also includes two integrated QD sling swivel cups and machined M-LOK mounting hardware.
With the PPFL-ARC installed, the Mountain Bipod can be repositioned along the forend, giving Oryx owners substantially greater flexibility for supported shooting positions and accessory placement.
Important: The standard MDT Oryx chassis does not feature a direct ARCA mounting interface. The PPFL-ARC is required for this mounting setup and is sold separately.
