The Pete’s Pillars LargeBore Pillar Bedding Set is designed for bolt-action rifle builds that use larger-diameter action screws, while maintaining the same proven pillar design trusted by gunsmiths and experienced shooters.
LargeBore pillars share the same external geometry, materials, and installation approach as Pete’s Pillars standard pillar sets. The difference is internal clearance—LargeBore pillars feature an enlarged internal diameter to comfortably accommodate larger action screw hardware, without changing how the pillars install or bed into the stock.
As with all Pete’s Pillars products, LargeBore pillars are intentionally left long and trimmed during installation. This allows the final fit to be set precisely for your rifle and stock, promoting proper alignment and a stress-free bedding interface when installed correctly.
Manufactured in the USA from raw 6061 aluminum, these pillars are installation-ready with a clean, tumbled finish and only require a quick wipe-down before bedding. LargeBore pillars are available in Smooth or Profiled configurations. Profiled pillars feature deep exterior grooves that create a strong mechanical lock with bedding compound, while Smooth pillars offer a clean exterior for installers who prefer a traditional bedding approach.
Pete’s Pillars also offers Standard pillar sets, as well as SlimLine options for select stocks where reduced material removal is preferred. All pillar options are built around the same core design principles, allowing you to choose the configuration that best matches your rifle and stock.
Fitment & Compatibility
