The MDT CZ 457 40 MOA Picatinny Scope Rail is a precision-machined optics mounting solution designed for long-range rimfire shooting. Featuring an aggressive 40 MOA incline, this rail helps shooters access additional usable elevation adjustment from compatible precision riflescopes.
Manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum with a black anodized finish, the MDT 106585-BLK is designed for the CZ 457 factory receiver dovetail and provides a Picatinny interface for compatible scope rings.
For CZ 457 owners participating in NRL22, PRS Rimfire, or extended-distance .22 LR shooting, the 40 MOA configuration offers greater inclination than traditional 0, 15, 20, or 30 MOA scope bases.
40 MOA Scope Rail for Long-Range Rimfire
Long-range .22 LR shooting can require substantial elevation adjustment to compensate for bullet drop. The 40 MOA incline changes the scope's mounting angle relative to the receiver, allowing suitable optics to use more of their internal elevation adjustment for longer-distance targets.
Compared with MDT's 20 MOA and 30 MOA CZ 457 rails, this model provides additional forward inclination for specialized precision rimfire applications.
Important: A 40 MOA rail does not increase the riflescope's total mechanical elevation adjustment. Not all scopes have enough adjustment range to achieve a close-distance zero with this much inclination. Confirm your optic's available travel before selecting a 40 MOA base.
CZ 457 Dovetail to Picatinny Adapter
The MDT 106585-BLK is designed for the CZ 457 receiver's factory dovetail mounting interface.
It provides a standardized Picatinny optics mounting surface, expanding the selection of compatible precision scope rings and mounts compared with traditional dovetail-only mounting arrangements.
The rail features a contoured profile intended to complement the receiver geometry while providing a clean mounting arrangement.
Compatibility: Designed for the CZ 457. CZ 452 and CZ 455 rifles have separate model-specific scope-base configurations.
