Why Choose a 20 MOA Scope Rail?
A 20 MOA scope base incorporates approximately one-third of a degree of forward inclination into the rail.
Unlike a flat 0 MOA scope base, the angled mounting surface changes the scope's orientation relative to the receiver, helping preserve usable elevation adjustment for longer-range applications.
This is especially useful for precision rifles where significant elevation correction may be required at extended distances.
Actual usable elevation depends on the riflescope's internal adjustment range, mounting configuration, and the rifle's zero. A 20 MOA rail does not increase the scope's total mechanical adjustment travel.
