These are pillars only. I have other kits that include upgraded 12.9 grade actions screw and threaded rod to assist with cutting pillar length.
SLIM LINE. Our new slim line allows for a smaller pillar hole to be drilled, and a cost effective approach to bedding. They are not sold with DEVCON or as a kit.
These are pillars for a CZ455 Stock.
Pillar installation assists in accuracy as it prevents crushing of the stock and prevent stress cracks. Pillars also keep the action from twisting or moving. Consistency is key in accuracy.
These are just the pillars, they are 7/16'' in diameter, CNC machined, and made of 6061 aluminum. These pillars are left long so that they can be trimmed to length by the installer, depending on the specific stock that you have. If the pillars are cut too short they will not do their job.
This a DIY kit. In order to utilize this kit you must drill out the stock, and "glue" these into place. Final fit and finish will need to be done during installation. A chamfer may be required on the bottom inner diameter of the pillars to allow for action screw fitment. A drill press is recommended.
These will only fit the CZ 455 because of the notch for the magazine well. I have other pillars that will fit other actions such as the Remington 700.
For an additional charge I can profile the outside of the pillars to give the epoxy something to bite in to. I find this unnecessary however, as I have never had an issue with smooth pillars pulling out. Simply scuff up the exterior with some sand paper prior to installation and be sure to degrease.
These can be installed in manners, factory, HS Precision, Boyd's, and McMillian stocks.
